Ferro Alloys And Power

Calcium carbide is produced industrially in an electric arc furnace from a mixture of lime and coke at approximately 2000 °C. This method has not changed since its invention in 1888. Pure calcium carbide is a colorless solid. Calcium carbide is used in carbide lamps, in which water drips on the carbide and the acetylene formed is ignited.
Ferrosilicon is used as a source of silicon to reduce metals from their oxides and to deoxidize steel and other ferrous alloys. Ferrosilicon is a basis for manufacture of prealloys like magnesium ferrosilicon (FeSiMg), used for modification of melted malleable iron.

Task Terminals

We have extensive terminals that comprises of 12 tanks having aggregate storage capacity of 34,920 M.T capable of having storage of all types of chemical and dangerous goods. The tanks are completely revamped in 2010. While we plan to revamp the terminal we have idea behind that it should be build in such way that terminal is safe having sustainable systems that anticipate future developments. All the tanks are made up of mild steel which have fixed roof and bottom center slope. The terminal has water sprinkling foaming system outside of the tank. The tanks are fitted with overfilled alarm and equipped with pigging system.
